Independent practice. Not the Home Office. We do not book tests. Book on GOV.UK

Terms of use

Effective date: 23 October 2026.

Who we are

Simply Pass is run by Sava Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16124943. Our registered office is Unit 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person who uses the site.

You can write to us at [email protected]. We answer within two working days.

By buying or using Simply Pass you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What Simply Pass is

Simply Pass is practice material for the Life in the UK test. You answer practice questions, see your score, and see which topics you need to work on. We also explain each answer.

What Simply Pass is not

We are independent. We are not the Home Office, not UK Visas and Immigration, and not any other part of the UK government. We do not book tests, we do not take test fees, and we cannot change a test booking, a result or an application. To book the test, use the government's own page: https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test. The test fee is set by the government. Please read our disclaimer too.

Simply Pass is practice, not a course. It gives no certificate and does not count towards any application. Your result in the real test comes from your own answers on the day.

What you get

You can try some questions free. If you pay, you get access on this website to the full practice material for the Life in the UK test: practice sets by chapter, full-length mock tests that follow the shape of the real test, your results by topic, and an explanation after each answer.

You pay once. It is a single payment. There is no subscription, no free trial that turns into a paid plan, and nothing renews by itself. We never charge you again.

Your access starts when we take your payment and lasts 30 days or 90 days, the length of the pass you chose. The end date is on your receipt, and we never shorten it. Each mock test draws a new set of questions from our whole question bank. We choose the draw, so how many different questions you see depends on how many tests you take, not on a fixed number.

Access is for one person. Please do not share your login.

Payment

The price you see on the pricing page is the full price in pounds sterling: £6.99 for 30 days, or £9.99 for 90 days. Nothing is added at checkout.

Our payment provider takes the payment for us. You get a receipt by email. We never see or keep your card number.

Simply Pass is for people who take the Life in the UK test in the UK. When you pay, we check the country of your card and the country of your internet connection. If both are outside the UK, we refund the full payment straight away and your access does not start. If you live in the UK and this happens to you, write to us and we will put it right.

Your right to cancel, and why it ends when access starts

Normally, when you buy something online in the UK, you have 14 days to change your mind. Digital content is different. Under regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you lose that 14-day right once we start to give you the content, if you have first agreed to this.

That is why, before you pay, we ask you to tick a box. By ticking it you:

  1. ask us to give you access straight away, and
  2. accept that you lose your right to cancel once access starts.

We repeat this in your receipt email. Because your access starts as soon as the payment is taken, the right to cancel ends at that moment. If we did not give you the tick box or the receipt line, the law lets you cancel within 14 days, and we will refund you in full.

Your rights under UK consumer law

Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose we describe, and as we describe it. If it is not, you can ask us to repair or replace it. If we cannot, or we do not do it in a reasonable time, you may be able to get a price reduction or a refund. We cannot exclude these rights, and nothing on this page tries to.

If you could not use the access you paid for at all, write to us and we will put it right or refund you. If you are unsure of your rights, Citizens Advice can help: citizensadvice.org.uk.

Pass guarantee

If you practise with Simply Pass and still do not pass the real Life in the UK test, you keep practising with us free until you pass. That is our pass guarantee. It gives you more time with Simply Pass. It is not money back.

You can use it when all three of these are true:

  1. During your paid access, you pass at least 10 full mock tests in a row in Simply Pass. A full mock test is the timed 24-question test on the site, and you pass it with 18 or more right, the same pass mark as the real test. Practice sets by chapter and the free mock test do not count. We count your full mock tests in the order you start them. A test you fail starts the count again, and so does a test you start and do not hand in before the time runs out. A test you are still taking does not count either way.
  2. After that, you sit the real Life in the UK test and do not pass.
  3. Within 30 days of your result, you write to [email protected] from the email on your account and send your result letter or a screenshot of your result.

We check your mock tests in our records and answer within two working days. If the three conditions are met, we extend your access to the Life in the UK practice free, until you pass. It costs you nothing to claim.

The guarantee covers the Life in the UK test only. We do not pay back the price, the test fee or any other cost. This does not affect your legal rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 set out above.

Our content, and where it comes from

Every question and explanation on Simply Pass is in our own words, based on the topics in the published handbook "Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents". We do not use or copy the real test questions, and we do not copy the handbook text. Our questions are not the questions in your real test. They cover the same topics at a similar level.

Some facts, such as the pass mark and test rules, come from government pages. Questions are our own, written from Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, 3rd edition (TSO, 2013). Crown copyright.

The names "Life in the UK test" and the handbook title are used only to say which test you are practising for. We use no logo, crown or design of any government body.

Our questions, explanations, text and design are ours and protected by copyright.

How you may use the material

You may use Simply Pass to study, for yourself, on this website. You may not copy, download, record, share, publish or sell any part of it, or use a robot or scraper on the site. You may not use it to build, train or prompt another product, including an AI tool. Fair use: one account may start up to 5 full-length mock tests and 20 short practice sets a day. That is far more than a person studies in a day. We may stop automated or unusual use.

If you break these rules we may end your access. If we do that for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the part you did not use.

Your account

We sign you in with a code that we email to you. There is no password. Please keep your email safe, because anyone who reads your email can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else is using your access.

How we keep the questions right, and what we cannot control

We write every question in our own words from the topics of the handbook, check it against the handbook, and fix it fast when someone reports a mistake. Each question has a report button, and we read every report. If you pass 10 full mock tests in a row and still fail the real test, our pass guarantee keeps your practice free until you pass.

The real test is not ours. The government sets its content, its fee and its pass mark, and can change them at any time, so always check https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test before you book. Your result depends on your own study and on the day.

We keep the site running all day, every day. Like any website, it can still be down for a short time.

If we change something

We may add, correct or remove questions, for example when the government updates the test. Your access covers the question bank as it is during your access window. If we stop the whole service while you still have paid access left, we refund the part you did not use.

We may update these terms. The terms that applied when you paid apply to your purchase, except where the law makes us change them. If a change matters to you, we tell you by email.

Ending access

You may stop using Simply Pass at any time. Write to us if you want your account deleted. Under the section on your right to cancel, once access has started a change of mind is not a reason for a refund.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for the loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our legal duties. We are not responsible for loss that nobody could foresee, or for loss in a business, such as lost profit, because this is a consumer service. The government marks the real test, so we are not responsible for its result or what follows from it, such as a new test fee or a delayed application. What we offer when the real test goes wrong is the pass guarantee above.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. Subject to that, our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the price you paid us.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live. If you live elsewhere, the courts of England and Wales can hear a claim, and you keep any rights your own country's consumer law gives you.

Complaints

Please write to [email protected] first. We want to put it right. We are not currently signed up to an approved alternative dispute resolution body. Citizens Advice can tell you where to take a complaint: citizensadvice.org.uk.
