Citizenship ceremonies in Leeds
This page is for people becoming British citizens in Leeds. You do not book your own ceremony here. The council books it for you.
How you book
The council gets your certificate from the Home Office, then it sets up your ceremony and writes to you with the details. Still waiting 2 weeks after your Home Office letter? Contact the registration office.

What happens at the ceremony
You make the oath or the affirmation of allegiance to the King, then the pledge to the United Kingdom. At the end you receive your certificate of British citizenship and a welcome pack. You become a British citizen at the ceremony, not before.
