Private ceremonies and prices

The Superintendent Registrar leads the ceremony with the Mayor of Swindon. Under 18s do not have to come.

What happens at the ceremony

You make the oath or the affirmation of allegiance to the King, then the pledge to the United Kingdom. At the end you receive your certificate of British citizenship and a welcome pack. You become a British citizen at the ceremony, not before.
